Zachary J. Joiner, CFP®
Wealth Advisor

Learn about Zach
Zach joined the Cambridge team in March 2014, coming from a background in investment operations and wealth management. Zach assists in the day to day management of Cambridge’s current client relationships, including: regular client communication, client meeting preparation and meeting presentations, financial planning updates, portfolio trading, and new business development.

“As the Wealth Advisor for the firm, most of my job duties center on maintaining the 240+ households we serve and providing them with the Cambridge Experience. We focus mainly on two things; how can we help our clients accomplish their goals, and how can we continue to provide a high level service. That is where I fit in.”

“One of the first things I learned in this industry is that you have to work for the client, not the company, which is the exact reason I decided to join Cambridge”, says Zach. “Working at Cambridge has allowed me to focus on the backbone of this business - the client experience. Coming from the brokerage side, I know that the client experience is not always the number one priority. Too often the focus is on how to meet certain sales goals. We don’t have that conflict with our clients. We can focus more on the client’s experience, and less on meeting sales quotas.”

Zach graduated from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration specialized in Finance. He enjoys golfing, cooking, classic cars, and spending time with his family. He currently lives in Glen Carbon with his wife Ashlee. They just recently welcomed their first Son, Jack, to the world.

Requirements for the CVA designation includes the completion of a 35-hour training program and course of study as prescribed by the Association, submission of three personal and three business references, and passing a comprehensive two‐part examination (exam + case).
